Requirements:
Qualifications and skills required:
- University master's degree (MSc) in Political Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent writing skills.
General professional experience:
- More than 12 years but minimum 5 years of professional experience in working in the field of development and/or project and programme management.
Specific professional experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in working in the field of writing publications and/or books about international cooperation and public diplomacy activities in challenging countries. Experience in coordinating/negotiating and communicating with EU Delegation(s), International and local stakeholders.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, especially in challenging environments.
- Experience in Eritrea and/or in the region is an asset.
- Experience in working in a post conflict or protracted conflict context is an asset.
Language skills:
- Written and oral fluency in the English language is essential, while knowledge of local language is an added advantage
