We are thrilled to announce the launch of Be Festive: Exploring Mediterranean Festivities for Cultural Exchange and Youth Empowerment, starting in January 2025!
This 24-month Erasmus+ initiative brings together organizations from Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Jordan, Egypt, and Turkey to celebrate cultural heritage and empower youth through the exploration of traditional festivities.
What’s the project about?
-Highlighting traditional Mediterranean festivities as a platform for youth empowerment and cross-cultural exchange.
-Creating an interactive cultural map to showcase the richness of Mediterranean traditions.
-Developing the "Learning with Heritage" toolkit to integrate cultural heritage, inclusivity, and modern issues in youth work.
-Offering immersive festival experiences for youth and youth workers to gain hands-on skills and cultural understanding.
Why traditional festivities?
-Festivities are a unique way to unite communities, promote inclusivity, and provide accessible opportunities for youth engagement, especially for those in rural areas or from marginalized backgrounds.

-Empower youth workers with tools to preserve and celebrate cultural heritage.
-Promote diversity and inclusion through education and cross-cultural exchange.
-Raise awareness about the importance of intangible cultural heritage and its role in community engagement.
