On September 26, 2023, and in the framework of the SustDiet project "Integrating Sustainability in Athletes' Dietary Choices - Sustainable Diet for Athletes", ANCE held the project's information day at Aegean College.
The event was honored with the presence of Mr. Karakasis Dionysis, Head of the Department of International Relations, European Policies, Olympic Issues, Sports & Cultural Promotion of the General Secretariat for Sport , who delivered a greeting from the Secretary General of Sports, Mr. George Mavrotas and presented the European Project #BEACTIVE.
At the same time, the conference was welcomed by Mr. Grigoris Risvas, Head of Dietetics-Nutrition Studies Programmes of Aegean College & Vice President of the European Federation of Dietetic Associations, who shared with our guests his own scientific knowledge and experience regarding nutrition and the introduction of sustainability in it!
A significant participation and of particular interest was the presentation of Ms. Olga Kunari from the organization Mathaino Diatrofi (partner in the project) who analyzed the guidelines developed on sustainable nutrition for athletes.
The participants also had the opportunity to be informed about the activities and objectives of the project, the results of the national survey, the online education platform of the project and were also informed about the upcoming activities.
