The re-branding of ANCE takes place within the framework of the project "Strengthening ANCE's organizational and operational capacities," which is implemented under the Active Citizens Fund program, with ANCE as the implementing entity.
The Active Citizens Fund program, with a budget of €15 million, is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway and is part of the financial mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA) for the period 2014-2021, known as EEA Grants. The program aims to empower and enhance the sustainability of civil society and to highlight its role in promoting democratic processes, strengthening citizen participation in public affairs, and defending human rights. The management of the grant program for Active Citizens Fund in Greece is a joint effort between the Bodossaki Foundation and SolidarityNow.
