Requirements:
Qualifications and skills required:
- At least a MA in journalism, media and/or communications, or equivalent professional experience (preferably in the fields of Communication/PR/Journalism/ICT/Multi-media web); in its absence, equivalent professional experience of 3 years.
General professional experience:
- At least 3 years professional experience in processing, design and production of Communication and Visibility materials; experience maximising the use of social networks; experience organising events, planning and reporting on donor- funded projects.
Specific professional experience:
- Proven experience in processing, design and production of Communication and Visibility materials, including web-design, creation and management of webpages.
- Proven experience in the preparation and organisation of events (seminars, workshops, training sessions, etc.).
- Proven experience in relations with the media (print, TV, radio, Internet/social media, etc.).
- Excellent oral skills and computer skills.
- Excellent writing skills (drafting articles, press releases, reports, etc.)
- Good organisational and communication skills.
Language skills:
- Good knowledge of English and understanding of Amharic.
The following knowledge and experience will constitute additional assets:
- Knowledge of the Ethiopian context (previous work experience in Ethiopia).
- Specific working experience with EU or international institutions.
