The project «Strengthening ANCE's organizational and operational capacities» aimed to contribute to the financial sustainability of the organization, to ensure greater visibility, promotion & publicity of its work, to strengthen its capacities and practices on issues related to the environment, gender, gender equality and the other axes of its action (social inclusion, vulnerable groups, human rights, sport, adult education, youth, sustainable development, active citizenship, etc.). The project included recruiting qualified staff, creating a new corporate identity, establishing partnerships with other civil society organizations, participating in networking events, as well as a range of other activities to strengthen the organization and provide higher quality services to the beneficiary groups.
The project “Strengthening ANCE’s organizational and operational capacities” was implemented under the Active citizens fund in Greece by ANCE.
The Active citizens fund in Greece is supported through a €15 m grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as part of the EEA Grants 2014 - 2021. The programme aims to develop the sustainability and capacity of the civil society sector in Greece, and to strengthen its role in promoting and safeguarding democratic procedures, active citizenship, and human rights. The Fund Operator for the Active citizens fund in Greece is Bodossaki Foundation in consortium with SolidarityNow.
