On 7/11/2023 another bilateral meeting was held with the Greek Forum of Migrants in which we talked about the difficulties faced by women with a migrant and refugee profile.
We discussed what exactly the current legislative framework provides for migrant/refugee women victims of domestic and gender-based violence and furthermore, how victims can be informed about their rights through special actions and programmes.
Particular emphasis was given to the category of women who wish to work but find it difficult, either because they find legal obstacles or because they cannot leave their children with another caregiver.
We concluded that the multiple and intractable problems that women with a migrant and refugee profile face in their daily lives increases the need for actions that will contribute to their effective support.
This meeting took place in the framework of the bilateral meetings held through the implementation of the project "Strengthening the organizational and operational capacities of ANCE" , which is funded by the Active citizens fund with grant manager the Bodossaki Foundation and Solidarity Now.
