The project was implemented with the co-funding of Hellenic Aid (Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and aimed at creating a Centre for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Handicraft in Yalova, a city in the region of Marmara which was seriously affected by the Earthquakes of 1999.
The Centre operated under the Municipality of Yalova and employed measures for the reduction of regional unemployment among women and people with disabilities and for the increase of business activity in Handicraft sectors that are under development.
The project activities included:
- Needs assessment
- Action plan for the development of the Center
- Training seminars for women and disable persons
- Purchase of equipment
- Study visit to Greece
- Information and awareness campaign
