The aim of the project was to examine air quality in three metropolitan areas (Athens, Bristol, and Bangkok) and to document the dimensions of the problem of pollution and the necessary actions for its management.
The activities of the project included:
- The identification of best practices and the designing of supporting guidelines for the improvement of air quality
- The organization of seminars and study visits for the local administration workers aiming at enhancing the function of the Environmental Management Department of the Bangkok Municipality
- The development of public awareness activities for all the stakeholders of the project
- The designing of the project’s web page (in Greek and in English) offering useful information about the air quality management, project deliverables, etc.
The project was implemented with the co-funding of the European Commission (ASIA URBS program).
