EQUAL: Women Training GBV

Empowering women through knowledge: A comprehensive Training Initiative

This workshop is set to reach 600 women, including survivors of domestic violence, across 3 regions in Uzbekistan: Fergana, Kashkadarya, and Namangan.

The initiative aims to equip women with essential knowledge and tools to understand their rights, recognize and respond to gender-based violence, and access available support systems.

Key features of the program:
Intensive workshops: Participants will engage in 16 hours of training spread over four days, with a focus on creating a supportive and safe learning environment.
Comprehensive Curriculum: The workshops will cover gender equality, women's rights, understanding and reacting to gender-based violence –incl. including in a family context-, navigating legal and civic resources, and overcoming the psychological impacts of domestic violence.
Targeted outreach: The program will reach 10 groups of women in the selected regions, ensuring widespread impact.
