We're happy to share that the final conference of the SustDiet project concluded successfully yesterday at Impact Hub Athens!
Here's a quick overview of the event:
Inspiring addresses by representatives from the General Secretariat of Sports, the General Secretariat of Public Health, and the city of Athens set the tone for an impactful event! Engaging talks from the Academic Director of Aegean College and a passionate yoga & pilates instructor followed, adding insight into the importance of sustainable diets in the athletic community. Project’s partners from Germany (KMGNE), Malta (Malta Exercise Health and Fitness Association), Greece (Μαθαίνω Διατροφή), Portugal (Sport Evolution Alliance), Spain (Defoin)& Turkey (Bolu Project Office) presented some truly groundbreaking findings on athletic population dietary habits, along with guidelines to enhance sustainability in the sports field. An innovative online training and awareness-raising program was unveiled, while policy recommendations and practical advice for national authorities were shared, paving the way for systemic change. Participants were also provided with essential instructions on navigating the project’s web application, ensuring access to resources and support.
We want to thank all attendees for the positive energy during the conference.
