Sustainable Seniors in Berat, Albania!
On 26–27 March 2026, EDEN center in cooperation with the Municipality of Berat, officially launched the Sustainable Seniors project with its first intergenerational roundtable:
“Citizen participation in environmental and climate issues”
Over two inspiring days, young people and seniors came together to:
Exchange experiences and perspectives
Discuss environmental challenges in their city
Co-create ideas and practical solutions
Through group work and dynamic discussions, participants:
Identified key local environmental issues
Proposed concrete actions
Reflected on their role in civic participation and decision-making
A special contribution by Mr. Fatos Zotkaj (former educator and decision-maker)
His practical insights and real-life examples sparked meaningful dialogue and encouraged more active citizen engagement.
The result? New ideas, stronger connections, and a shared motivation to take action.
