The objective of the project was to promote the creative employment, the active participation and the strengthening of the relations of the immigrant women with the local society in the Municipality of Athens.
The immigrant women in Greece face problems of integration into society (in the recipient country), as well as problems of communication with each other (bonds with their own country). They also face the need for entertainment and access to information, facilities that modern technology offers with relatively low cost, contributing to the provision of equal opportunities and the avoidance of social exclusion.
The project was addressed to groups of immigrant women that did not have access to information and the digital culture in general.
The project included cultural interventions via the modern technology that provided the appropriate tools (computers, internet, mobile phones) for the creative expression and the tightening of relations. Through the creation of electronic diaries, the beneficiary women were familiarized with modern means of technology and organized cultural events in order to strengthen their relations with the neighborhood.
The project was implemented by ANCE in cooperation with the Centre for Digital Culture “Fournos” and co-financed by the Hellenic Ministry of Employment & Social Protection (Actions for the enhancement of Employment with the active participation of Non Governmental Organisations).

Στόχος του έργου ήταν η δημιουργική απασχόληση, η ενεργός συμμετοχή και η ενδυνάμωση των σχέσεων των μεταναστριών με την τοπική κοινωνία στο Δήμο Αθηναίων.
Οι γυναίκες μετανάστριες στην Ελλάδα αντιμετωπίζουν προβλήματα ένταξης στην κοινωνία που τις φιλοξενεί καθώς και προβλήματα επικοινωνίας με την χώρα αποστολής τους. Επίσης αντιμετωπίζουν την ανάγκη για ψυχαγωγία και πληροφόρηση, δυνατότητες που η σύγχρονη τεχνολογία προσφέρει με σχετικά χαμηλό κόστος συμβάλλοντας στην παροχή ίσων ευκαιριών και την αποφυγή του κοινωνικού αποκλεισμού.
Το έργο απευθύνθηκε σε Ομάδες Γυναικών Μεταναστριών οι οποίες δεν είχαν πρόσβαση στην πληροφορία και γενικά στον ψηφιακό πολιτισμό.
Το έργο επικεντρώθηκε σε πολιτιστικές παρεμβάσεις μέσω της σύγχρονης τεχνολογίας που προσέφεραν τα εργαλεία (υπολογιστές, διαδίκτυο, κινητά) για την δημιουργική έκφραση και την σύσφιξη των σχέσεων της ομάδας. Μέσα από τη δημιουργία ηλεκτρονικών ημερολογίων, οι επωφελούμενες εξοικειώθηκαν με τα σύγχρονα μέσα επικοινωνίας και διοργάνωσαν μια πολιτιστική εκδήλωση ενδυναμώνοντας τη σχέση τους με τη γειτονιά.
Το έργο υλοποιήθηκε από την ANCE σε συνεργασία με το Κέντρο Ψηφιακού Πολιτισμού «Φούρνος» με τη συγχρηματοδότηση του Υπουργείου Απασχόλησης και Κοινωνικής Προστασίας (Δράσεις Ενίσχυσης της Απασχόλησης με την Ενεργό Συμμετοχή των μη κυβερνητικών Οργανώσεων).
