I.R.I.S – Integration-Responsibility-Innovation-Specialization (2015)

The project I.R.I.S. INTEGRATION - RESPONSIBILITY - INNOVATION - SPECIALIZATION was the result of efforts of its developers to create an integrated concept of social economy applied to home care field. IRIS project took place over a period of 12 months, targeting multiple development regions: Bucharest - Ilfov, North East, South Muntenia and West.

The general objective of the project was supporting access of disadvantaged groups in the labor market and promoting social inclusion through the development of social economy structures. In this regard, it established five social economy structures and 45 jobs of which 30 were addressed to the persons from vulnerable groups. Basically, the social economy structures created under the project provide home help for the elderly or others who require support. The services offered are:

  • healthcare;
  • assistance for daily activities - cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc.
  • social assistance (provided by a social worker / psychologist) - counseling, support;
  • recreation programs - organizing groups of neighbors who spend time together, reading, etc.

The five social economy structures were established in Bucharest, Ilfov County, Iasi County, Timis County and Prahova County.

ANCE participated in the project as transnational partner and was responsible for both the organization of round tables in social economy, in order to achieve the transfer of good practices and the organization of study visit for managers of social economy structures.

The project was funded by European Social Fund in the framework of Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development and the Government of Romania
