The Flavours of Change Cup project promotes the social and professional inclusion of migrants through sustainable cooking, intercultural dialogue, and community engagement. By combining culinary creativity with environmental awareness and entrepreneurship, it empowers migrants and adult learners to gain new skills, access professional opportunities, and contribute to more sustainable and inclusive communities across Europe.
The project will run for 24 months and integrates training, local workshops, intercultural culinary events, and awareness-raising campaigns to enhance skills development and community cohesion. It supports adult educators and organisations in using gastronomy as a tool for empowerment, social participation, and sustainable living.
Specifically, Flavours of Change Cup develops an inclusive training model combining sustainability education, intercultural learning, and cooking practice; produces a digital handbook and training toolkit for adult educators; organises “ChangeCup Events” in all partner countries, bringing together locals and migrants around sustainable recipes and shared experiences; and promotes entrepreneurship in the culinary sector through mentorship and skill-building. The project also establishes a European network of organisations working at the intersection of migration, food, and sustainability.
Target groups include migrants and refugees seeking to integrate socially and professionally; adult educators and trainers in the fields of sustainability and gastronomy; and local communities engaged in intercultural exchange and inclusion.
Expected results include the development of an innovative training methodology linking sustainable cooking with social empowerment; increased employability and confidence among migrant participants; and enhanced cooperation between organisations working in adult education, inclusion, and sustainability.
